Rafael Edward Cruz (born December 22, 1970) is an American politician and attorney serving as the junior United States Senator from Texas since 2013. He was a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
Texas just came within 2 points of turning a Senate seat blue. If i’m a Republican in Texas, I’m not viewing this as much of a win. Texas is slowly turning purple, and when they turn blue, Republicans will never win a national election again. C’mon…Ted!
