Born in Brooklyn Hospital, Jeffries grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. He graduated from Midwood High School[4] and received his bachelor's in political science from Binghamton University with honors. He graduated from New York University School of Law and obtained a master's degree in public policy from Georgetown University.
