Ron Kind, born March 16, 1963, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, served as U.S. Representative for Wisconsin’s 3rd district from 1997 to 2023. A Harvard, LSE, and University of Minnesota Law School graduate, Kind began as an assistant district attorney and state special prosecutor before entering Congress. Known for bipartisan leadership, he helped pass major legislation including the Affordable Care Act, USMCA, and CHIPS Act. He chaired the New Democrat Coalition and received an OBE for his work on US-UK relations. Since 2023, Kind has served as a senior policy advisor at Arnold & Porter, focusing on legislative and policy strategy.
